Tschichold / Hostettler

A translation from the German by Ruari McLean of a letter from jan Tschichold to Rudolf Hostettler, dated 31 January 1946. JT writes about The New Typography and National Socialism.

Hand-set and printed in Palatino Italic 20pt with 48pt Didot and 12pt Didot for title and colophon note. Cover label in Stephenson Black Sans Serif No.6 bold condensed with wood rule. Printed in olive grey throughout with orange on title page. 270mm x 195mm.

Zerkall papers hand-bound in the workshop in Hahnemühle jacket over Fabriano Tiziano with tipped on label. Edition 110 copies for the Fine Press Book association with and extra 40 for sale. Autumn 2018.
